Biology Questions- Mr.Dyck

Naturalistic explanations are those, which assume that there were no forces involved in the history of life other than matter, energy, and the chemical and physical laws governing their interactions. Naturalistic explanations assume that there were no intelligent agents that could have influenced life in the past.
There are several problems with naturalistic explanation of life and lack scientific evidence that is said to supposedly support evolution.  If you truly look at Darwin’s theory of evolution you will see that there is no way that it can explain how life truly began.  According to Darwinism, “inherent in natural selection is the notion that those life forms best equipped to survive will win the struggle for existence.” The first problem is with “biology”.  As millions of years passed and small changes occurred that slowly but surely left the organism more and more advanced and more fit to survive.  They believe that living organisms are very complex, that one could not construct their existence.  The second problem is with “Geology” with that once life does form, the fossil record indicates that biological complexity will change.  The fossil record lacks the transitional forms; the evidence is proven against the naturalistic evolutionary transitions in the history of life.  The third problem is with “Math Probability” with belief that life comes from non-life. The lack of support and the perception that it is not necessary to prove something that so obvious.  One would argue with the lack of details.
You asked us to explain three problems, which I did and just wanted to mention that there are more problems with naturalistic explanation of life such as chemistry and physics.  I would also like to note that I believe that there is a God and he alone created the entire universe.

Positivity Project

On November 6, I am going to give a homeless person a meal with a Bible verse in it. I am going to need to buy food from McDonalds and find a homeless person to give it to. I think this will help spread a positive message because it will make the person's day and give them a warm meal. It will also spread the word of God and leave them with more hope. Giving them a meal will also make them feel like someone cares.

Beowulf is seen as a hero

We face "epic" challenges everyday.  In the world today we faced with many challenges; everywhere you go and everything you do.  I think that some of my challenges could be caused by the choices I make.  I think by making different decision, possibly I wouldn't be faced with as many challenges.  I find myself asking "what if I would have thought that through more?"  Could that of changed things?  I feel that this time in my life I am faced with numerous obstacles and I know there are a lot more to come.  I have challenges coming up in my life that could change my life forever such as; graduation and picking a college that is right for me. I look at myself as one of those guys that won't back down from a challenge.  I'll face it head on.  If a challenge gets me down, I'm going to try and turn it around and prove that I can and will over come it.  My parent's have always told me, "there is nothing you can't do."  They always taught me to do my best and work hard, and "nobody can take that away from you."  That's why I feel when a challenge comes my way I can over come it.  I will always have the help and support from my family; whether it be my parents, brother, grandparent, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  They will be there for me during the good or bad challenges.  The one I know that will never leave me or forsake me is God.  I can go to him with anything and as long as I trust and believe in him, he will get me through each challenge.

Myers Briggs Test

I am an "ESFJ"

Extravert 1%, Sensing 25%, Feeling 38%, Judging 56%.

I found this test to be quite interesting and entertaining.  I have never taken a test like this before.  It was very interesting that by answering a list questions you come to find out one's personality type.  The results from my test I felt were pretty accurate.  I feel my personality could go either direction.  I am very curious to see all of my friends results and how they differ.

The Biggest of All

In this day and age sin is out of control. Society has labeled and assigned different degrees of severity of sin based on each particular action. It is not unusual that many people consider which sin is the greatest. The sins that stand out and are noticeable such as murder and adultery are often times the sins that are quoted as being the worst. However, there is a sin that is much greater than those, in that it paves the way for more sin. This sin cuts off the possibility for a relationship with God and makes man feel more significant than he is. This sin is Pride. According to Lewis, “the worst sin is Pride or self-conceit”. At first glance, I would not necessarily consider Pride to be the worst, however after considering and analyzing Lewis’ argument, I see his point. Pride can be defined as, “unduly high opinion of oneself [or] exaggerated self-esteem, conceit, [and] naughty behavior resulting from this.” Sins such as greed and selfishness are a primary result of Pride. When a man is consumed with Pride, he becomes plagued in that he makes it impossible to humble himself before the one true God and receive the gift of salvation that God openly offers.
Pride makes man desire to be greater in every aspect than everyone else around him. When a man is proud everything becomes something to be compared. As long as the proud man is on top, he is happy. However, in this world it is extremely unlikely that he will be the best at everything. This in turn leads to jealousy, envy, coveting and countless other sins. When someone ranks above him pride causes him to dislike the other person. This makes it all but impossible to follow the golden rule of love your neighbor as yourself. Pride longs for a sense of power over all the other people around you. No matter the amount of money or power that a man has, he will never come close to the power and majesty of God. Here is where a relationship with God is made impossible because God will always be more than any man could even hope to be. The prideful man always wants more and is never satisfied, even if he has everything.  Due to the fact that someone will always be more powerful, rich or beautiful than you, in the end pride leads to misery. Would you consider Pride as the worst sin off all?
